Last month a workshop was held with VET students of Administration and Finance at the Mondragon University. During the day were carried out different activities in order to know the concerns and ambitions of our students concerning mobility issues.
The current economic situation, academic requirements and cultural differences are some of the major concerns highlighted by the participants. They reflect the need to increase scholarships period, a broader offer of the variety of countries available and the importance of an structured reception plan in destiny were some of the main issues …
In fact, it´s interesting to emphasize that several students who participated in the workshop would be willing to go abroad. On the contrary, the number of existing scholarship is minimum in relation to the demand showing that much work is still needed in order to balance the offer and demand and many aspects need to be improved.
Despite these barriers, students show their commitment and willingness to join mobility programs. In these sense I-Move is a great opportunity not just for improving existing programs but to reflect on in which sense the mobility could be a central part of the educational program.
